Your Favourite Library Albums?
« on: April 16, 2024, 12:31:27 AM »
Hello! I'm pretty new to discovering library music, and am feeling OVERWHELMED by all the wonderful generous shares on here, but am totally lost. So, as a general appeal to introduce a novice like me into this wonderful world... What are your all-time favourite library albums?

I got most of the Chichester and Winchester Hospital radio CDs (I think?!), plus some key KPMs, like KPM 1000 Vol1 and 2, but I appreciate I've barely scraped the surface! Shared albums most welcome!

Some particular requests that have been recommended to me:

KPM 1000 Series
KPM 1166: Francis Coppieters – Piano Viberations
KPM 1160: Friends & Lovers
KPM 1091: Vibraphone Jazz Quartet

Themes International Music
TIM 1022: Alan Parker – The Sound of Soul
TIM 1021: Alan Parker / Madeline Bell – The Voice of Soul

- thanks, Fuzi

Flyback – FBCD 2000: Test Card Classics (1)

Chichester Hospital Radio – CHRLM2: The Sky's The Limit And 33 Other TV Themes (I actually only need trk 8, don't know how i managed to lose that!) Thanks, nidostar!

Many thanks in advance, you lovely lot!

P.S. Pixeldrain links preferred!

Hi bikini

It's a good practice to add the catalog reference and label to the album title you request, as some folks here prefer to archive by publishers.

And I'd be glad to help over the week-end if none steps up before me:)

Peace

Hello lebikini, and welcome aboard.
I'm gonna move this thread to the requests section cause it's mainly about that, requests.

ps - My all time favorite albums? I usually don't like to make rankings cause there are so many I love.
But I would never part with this two for example (just the ones that come to my mind at this very moment):
[Music Scene] - MSE 126 - Gianni Safred And His Electronic Instruments - Electronic Designs (1977)
      [Edi-Pan] - SML 102 - Puccio Roelens - Research Of Sound (1976)

Please, do not hotlink to external host sites.
Just edited your post MusicMuzak.

Especially now, and especially with Pixeldrain, which is involved in "Child Pornography" problems with the Italian authorities (and who knows if in other countries too..)

Sorry Greta. Other people are posting links to external sites for Albums. Can you advise how to do it correctly?

Also the user specifically requested pixeldrain preference above in this thread where my post was put with others who linked also.

I normally use media fire as I did earlier in other posts but a user here in this thread specifically requested in discussion of our fave albums to share they wanted it in pixeldrain.

Just a little concerned with the pornography statement - how is this correlation even thought of by yourself for me simply uploading a vinyl record like other users have done using pixeldrain throughout this forum? Even a user in this very thread used pixeldrain for music sharing.
Your comment is weird at the very least.

MusicMuzak,
I've been saying the same thing for years now, namely that it's better not to post hotlinks to external sharing site such as Mega, Pixeldrain and all the others.
And it's for safety reasons.
The way to do it has been said many times too.. and here it is once again:

instead of posting the "clickable" link as you did, you just remove the "https://" part.
Example:
mega.nz/folder/DdpkjKzR#u_va32zEltohcECQt3j8Bw

Alternatively you can also modify the original link by replacing the "https" part with something like "hXXps" or else.
Example:
hXXps://mega.nz/folder/DdpkjKzR#u_va32zEltohcECQt3j8Bw

It's really time-consuming to constantly check all the posts and correct all the hotlinks, that's why I always ask for collaboration from forum members.
